DR. LETITIA PARCALABESCU RECEIVES RUPRECHT-KARLS-PREIS 2025

Dr. Letitia Parcalabescu has received, among five selected laureates, this year’s Ruprecht-Karls Preis,
which is awarded by the Heidelberg University Foundation to young researchers for outstanding scientific dissertations.

The prestigious award ceremony took place on Friday, 24 October under the patronate of Rector Frauke Melchior.
Three award presenters characterized the academic paths taken by each of the five laureates and a summary of the achievements of their individual dissertation research.

Letitia Parcalabescu received the award for her dissertation “Measuring the Contributions of Vision and Text Modalities in Multimodal Transformers”, which she defended in 2024.

We cordially congratulate Letitia for this well-deserved recognition of her outstanding work, which has already attracted numerous citations from the international community.

We wish Letitia all the best for her scientific career, which she presently pursues as a researcher at Aleph Alpha.
