Module Description

Participants

All CL Masters students after personal discussion with lecturer.

Prerequisite for Participation

Personal registration with lecturer before the start of the semester. You should be a CL Masters student in at least 2nd semester.

Assessment

Successful participation in all phases of a research project.

Inhalt

The research project is a larger piece of experimental research that encompasses literature research, experimental design, implementation, evaluation and a final written report (preferrably a publication).

Possible research themes will be offered by the lecturer but the project will be jointly defined. Current areas of lecturer's research are Bias and Ethics, Summarization, Sourcing and Citations in LLMs, Knowledge Conflicts. The project will be conducted by the students and supervised by the lecturer.

Module language is English.
If all participants prefer German, the module language can be changed to German.
